This Week

I'm afraid I don't like my days off.
I start off the day with so many anticipations of what I'm going to get done.
But, when I'm at home, all I want to do is lounge and eat and nap and watch movies.
When I go to a "workplace" I'm busy and I loose myself.

Oh what work does for one's soul.
Lazy days aren't good for me.
The only thing I really do love about days off is sleeping in.

But even then, I sleep in till 8.
The one thing that is wonderful though,
Is not having to set an alarm.
Knowing that nothing else will wake me up up but my own stirring.

Here's things I should start doing:

1) Cook more.  I do live with the parentals, so this one is tricky.  But oh how I love cooking and inventing.

This one would be fun for this time of year.
Go HERE to check out this wonderful blog full of fun and inventive recipes

Does this not look delicious?
Go HERE

Shut up, I have to try this...
Imagine a pie with this lace topping for a crust.
Go HERE

2) Craft more.  I need to relish my time off!  And not try and get so many "serious" things done.

3) Work out.  Let's be honest, I haven't for like 3 months.  This is really sad......

Prince Charming

I have a to do list sitting upstairs with at least 20 items
I should be attempting to check off right now...

But I'm blogging instead.
Earlier I was naughty
And treated myself to a midday movie.
I watched "Practical Magic"
And I loved it, I had never seen it before.

In the movie Sandra Bullock does a spell when she's like 8,
Creating an impossible guy
So she'll never fall in love.

Of course the "impossible guy"
Comes along.
Not only is he super hot,
But he also saves the day.
Oh, and he doesn't even know Sandra,
and he's effortlessly in love with her.
Everything she so conveniently "didn't wish for".

Why do I like movies like these?

Starting when we're little, we are polluted
With images of Prince Charming...

He doesn't exist!
At least I haven't met one.
And I've been on a lot of dates.

Anyway, I hate to be Debby Downer,
But it's just one of those days.

Here's to not getting things done every once in awhile!
This picture is proof as to why I've lost all hope in men.

Now here's some fun "Prince Charming" pics:
This girls pretty serious about finding him...

I think I could handle this type of prince charming:)

Hmmm...

Wow.  This is real.

I wish it was this simple

I need the new iPhone 4s

Oh My Gosh!
I just watched the new iPhone 4s campaign video here.

I think I'm going to freak out.
I need the new phone that comes out October 14th.

Now listen to my sad story...
I just got my iPhone in July.
I was so happy to suddenly be up to speed with the best.
I love Apple, I love Mac.
How it's organized.  How it's designed.
I knew I'd love the phone.
And I DO!!
But then to my dismay, 3 months later I get topped by the iPhone 4s.
A product that is unbelievably better.

Now listen to my happy story...
My life has truly changed for the better with this beautiful piece of smart phone machinery.

Top 10 things I love about my iPhone 4 (not in order):

1) I can check my email wherever.  It's wired to multiple addresses so I'm getting ALL the mail I need with one click.
2) I virtually have no capability of being bored.  Between Words with Friends, Solitare, Plants vs Zombies, Tiny Wings, and Fruit Ninja (Ok, I'll admit it, I love Fashion Story too.  Don't judge) my options are endless.
3) There's an app for everything.  I have nutrition apps, I have banking apps, I have my university app where I can check my grades.  Ladies, I have a freaking Pinterest app.  Really?  Can my life be more complete?
4) The touch of the screen.  I know you're like "Duh?".  But I've had other touch screens and messed with other smart phones.  The touch of the screen is not the same.  I don't know what it is.  But how they designed it is brilliant.
5) The camera apps.  You can make drab photos become fab.  There's awesome apps.  I haven't gotten into Instagram yet, but I LOVE Camera +.  If you have an iPhone and you want a cool picture app, get it.
6) It keeps all my text messages in one.  I know it's silly, but this simple aspect has saved my life.  Also the easy Copy and Paste capability.
7) I don't even worry about memory.  It serves as a back up.  People- All my pictures I have on my computer, are on my iPhone!
8) Multi-tasking is like my best friend.  Hello!  I can go from one thing, get out and change to the next like nothing.  Then go back like it never happened.
9) When I have a question about something, all I have to do is press my Safari button and do a quick google search.  This aspect assists me in seeming more intelligent.
10) I can blog from my phone.  And I can blog stalk from my phone.  I hate to admit this, but if I follow you, your website address is a simple window in a folder on my phone.  I check my blogs at a touch of a button.

But after watching that video I'm stumped.
I have to have it.
Why does Apple do this?
I know they did it on purpose.
They give you a great product with awesome features in chapters.
So people get hooked like me,
Then they have no choice but to keep up...
I'm just one of their fishes coming back for better bait.
Mean.
But I love you still.
I didn't really mean it, only a little.

Everything I just listed is totally topped by the new product.
Watch the video.
Next they're going to invent a Robot iPhone that does the dishes.

Life is so hard.

A String of Bad Luck

I must have broken a mirror or something...
I'm serious when I say I have bad camera luck.
I can prove it.

Occurrence #1
Delicate Arch

This was my first bad luck experience with a camera.  There I was in Moab, with my family- vacationing and hiking.  I was holding my dad's camera over a big cliff.  And there it went, falling to it's death.  You can imagine how my dad felt.

Occurrence #2
Car Melting

I'm dumb I know, I don't want to hear it.  I left camera # 2 in the car one long summer day.  When I returned to my sauna of a car, it had pretty much exploded.  The screen was all black and it no longer functioned.

Occurrence #3
Elevator Shaft in New York

My apartment in NY had one of those open, gated, really ancient, yet cool looking elevators.  On one fateful night as I was riding the elevator to my floor, I dropped camera # 3 through the shafted gate to the deep dark basement.  I did find it, slammed against the cement.  I'm proud to say that even after this accident, I stubbornly got the camera to barely work.  Until it officially died a month later, I still took that delightful camera with me.  The trick was a thick rubber band and duct tape that kept that trooper functioning until it's death.

Occurrence #4
Water Fall

Oh, Camera # 4, I miss you.  I went on a hike with some friends up to a waterfall in Utah Valley.  We were having fun taking pictures and playing.  I decided to go up to the top of the waterfall.  I don't honestly know what I was thinking with this next move.  I outstretched my hand holding the camera over the waterfall, trying to give my camera to Mr. X.  He accidentally slapped my hand and there it went.  Spiraling into the beautiful water rapids.

So, now all I have is my iPhone.
I hope with all my heart that nothing like this ever happens to IT.
I would cry.

Due to these series of unfortunate events, my picture quality just isn't the same.  I love you, dear iPhone.  But you can't compete.

That is the end of my story.

Thank you rice...

The other day I dropped a whole cup of water on my laptop.
Yes, an entire cup.
I panicked.  I took my computer to a specialty store.
A nerdy man told me to turn it off and put it in a bucket of rice for a week.
Odd?
No.
It works!
I'm living proof.

I'm writing on my lap top right now.
